THANK YOU FOR 14 YEARS OF LUMBERJACK

I started this business back in 2008 as an evenings and weekends venture. I built my client base through honesty, integrity, hard work and determination. In 2014 I made Lumberjack my full time business. A lot of sleepless nights, 70-80 hour work weeks, extreme weather and economic situations as well as a lot of emergency on call time. It’s amazing that I have been able to provide for my family, my staff and their significant others for so long. We have had our ups and downs with the economy, shady contractors, builders and the occasional home owner but I can confidently say the great clients, friendships and relationships we have built over this past 14 years have been one of the most rewarding parts and easily takes the bad out of the equation.

 
Designing, building and completing many HVAC and Hydronic training centers in Calgary and a few mobile training vans as well as assisting many local and non local contractors and suppliers has also been a huge accomplishment and a very rewarding part of my career. I am passionate about education in the Plumbing, HVAC and Hydronic Trades.

As a father of 3 young boys (11, 7 and 5) I’ve been able to show them what you can accomplish with hard work and dedication. I hope the lessons I’ve been able to teach them will be a generational lesson they can grow and expand beyond their own expectations. 
With all of that being said my wife and I are thrilled to be welcoming another baby to our home in late March 2023. With this next stage of life we have been going through our updated 3, 5, and 10 year plans. As the business continues to grow so does the responsibility and the time required to keep staff and clients on track. 

In working closely with suppliers, rep agencies, distributors and our preferred boiler manufacturer (NTI) for many years I have been offered an opportunity that will still allow me to provide for my ever growing family as well as stay within the trades and assist in growing our industry, training and assisting contractors, builders, developers and small to medium and large business owners. 
Effective immediately Lumberjack is closed for business.

As of September 26th / 2022 I will be moving over to a Technical Sales position at Barclay Sales. An industry leader for over 50 years. I’ll be responsible for a number of lines we represent including but not limited to: NTI Boilers, Fantech, Noritz and Aprilaire (Just to name a few). I’ll be assisting our entire Western Canadian team but mostly spending my time in Southern Alberta & Saskatchewan. I will be at the Cyphex trade show and conference in Saskatoon at the end of September and look forward to touching base with other industry professionals.

This is not goodbye but a see you soon, without work pants and some plaid on. Although I’m sure you’ll still see me rockin the plaid from time to time. I’m very thankful to the many staff we have had over the past 14 years. The work and dedication in making Lumberjack the success it has become is largely in part of them. I’d also like to thank our contractors, builders, industry partners, suppliers, manufacturers reps, distributors, inside and outside sales professionals friends, family and clients for 14 years of amazing work together. 

NOW, as of September 19th our staff will be moving over to: CASTLE PLUMBING & HEATING.
This outfit is dedicated, qualified and has the skills and tenacity to take what we have built and move it to the next phase. Although the name will be different the quality of work will remain in tact! I’ll be in the background assisting the team while they get up and going and we make the appropriate transitions.
